Threats of rain and flood couldn’t scare the hardiest golfers away on Sunday. Those that did show were treated with a heavy but fleeting shower for about one and a half holes, then pleasant skies after.
There was a bit of scrambling happening on the front 9, but two golfers were putting together a solid round. Boger and Matt B both had a solid front, with Matt only 4 off the lead. The tables starting turning on the back 9, as Matt Swartz, Thom and I proved that we did indeed know how to throw a disc without hitting a tree. Sometimes.
Boger managed to put his drive pin high on 14B. Ask Thom about hole 7.
It was a little wet down at the bottom.

Monday Evening Russ and I went out to try and squeeze some more practice in for States. Not too much spectacular golf. I managed to take a 7 on 8B and follow that with a birdie on 9A and a 45ft jump putt to save 3 on 11B. Russ played a solid front 9, only faltering on 2A and 8B. The back 9 was back and forth missed birdie ops and poorly executed bogies. But it didn’t rain, so we had that going for us.

I found 3 ticks on myself this weekend. Be sure to check yourself carefully.
See you on Sunday!
