Sunday was another scorcher! We were visited by a not often seen top 5 tag this weekend, and he proved he still has what it takes. It was a tight race at the front of the pack, coming down to the last 3 holes to decide it. Russ carded the lone 3 on 16 to take a stroke, forcing Greg and I to push on 17 which ended up working more in Russ’ favor than ours. Then 18 was just a simple up and down to seal the victory. While we were golfing Dave was working on his tan and Thom was still trying to figure out how to use his left arm.

The 3rd Annual Whispering Falls harvest is a mere 4 weeks away. If you have sponsorship money sitting on your dresser now is the time to get it to me. If you still haven’t asked your employer, barber, dentist, chiropractor, bartender, waitress to sponsor the Harvest (I know this is certainly isn’t the case, is it?) now is the time.
In addition to cash sponsorship, we could use assistance with lunch preparation. If you want to make a salad or dessert of sorts to bring, let me know. We also need donations for the Infamous WF CTB contest. You all know it and love it, so don;t be stingy.
Sunday August 8th, all day work day. I will be at the course early and be there for a while to finish up any last minute trimming. Areas to focus on if you go out between now and then:
5: small walkway through the gully
6: trim around tee sign
8: trim up A pin
9: trim up B pin
10: A pin weed whack
13: cut and move down trees away from fairway
16: weed whack A pin
I will be placing a disc order this week. If there’s anything specific you want let me know ASAP.
Tags are scheduled to finish next week. I am going to propose that the Harvest be used as the finale instead. We may still have a little get together before the start of next season. Anyone with opinions for or otherwise, let them be know.
See you on the course!
-Brad
